Rambo IV in action - my very first own offroading

Just bought a landy (land rover 109 siri 3, 1978), which i named him "Rambo 4", after the John Rambo's latest movie. WHY??? coz, although in his 60s, he still able and strong enough to perform his Rambo actions. Here are some photos of my Rambo 4:

Rambo 4, a week after i bought it. No modification, only a few stickers to cover the police image and for camouflaging.

~~~~~~~~~
My first off-road at Ulu Rening, Batang Kali, 16-Feb-08
I joint Mr. Barry & the gang.
Waiting Barry & his fren. I was also doubt and worry about Rambo, whether he can perform or not, or can he stand with this heavy/rough activity after so long with Malaysian Police Force doing light and easy job out there.
Rambo is ready & waiting to get into the water.
Yieeee ha! 1st timer. Rambo is getting wet. Handee was happily seating on the hood and blocking my sightings.... anyway, enjoy!
Uphill.. Downhill.. easy track.. rough track.. damn this was very rough, uncontrollable & no clutch required. Rambo was almost out of track, once. I am really need more practice.
1st muddy track, there are 4 of them. This is the easiest one. Rambo was stuck on the 3rd mud. No photo available as everybody was busy to winching up Rambo. So exciting!!
Barry was looking/reccee the best track.
Off loading, Rambo needs a lightweight load before climbing up the slope.
Waiting turn. Rambo & Camel Trophy... Barry took so long to try and build up the track.
Arriving, that was a stiff downhill.
Looking for a clearance before turning.
Clearance of parking bay.
Arrival at the camp site. Can't u see Rambo 4 is seating side-by-side with Camel trophy... and far behind is Barry's bloody leech.
Ravi posed as if the 4-wheelers were his. Hoping that u'll get 1 soon.
Some of the off-roaders.. exhausted and excited.
Paparazi & Ulf
Nice panorama....
"lubuk".. the deepest.
Lovely stream...
Handee keeps pursuing Maxi & Herry to join him.. Don't focus to her only.
Nice view, huh???
Fishing... Omar got 3 fishes - tengas, i thought!
Helping Amuda climbing up the rocks..
It was damn cold... we were shivering rrrrrrr.......
Writer (Parkdude) in front & Handee.
Shreem was so happy....
Parkdude was fortuning our own future.. this beutiful nature, environment & all creatures.
A big log we found before leaving this lovely place.. Amu said, its age would probably 400-500 years.
That's all for time-being.... will be continued.
31-Aug-07:
Cuti merdeka pasti ramai yang dok melepak depan TV menonton perarakan merdeka atau terus melepak di dataran, tak kurang juga yg balik kampung atau keluar ke shopping kompleks bersama keluarga atau aweks..
Tapi aku merayau ke Ulu Tamu, di Batang Kali. Mengikut critera2 dari internet, tempat nie sungguh menarik dan jarang dilawati. Kali nie berpandukan GPS map yg aku dapati dari internet, aku terus cargas menaiki honda EX5 (pinjam adik sepupu, roadtax vespa aku dah mampus) ke syurga offroad ini.
Nak dijadikan cerita, terjumpa pulak lagi.. satu gerup 4x4 kat sana... dgn tak tau malu, aku minta join dgn dorang. Kali ni, isteri tercinta tak ikut sama, dia nak mengemas rumah dan window shopping di Sogo.
Tanpa banyak cerita, ikutilah kisah pengembaraanku kali ini...
2nd Camping: Sg Sendat with families
28-Jul-07:
I rang the bell in my office, announcing the excitement of our trip to Sg Sendat. Then, we organized a family trip with some of my colleagues. We departed from Giant Batu Caves at about 1500hrs and arrived there at about 1.5 hours later. We stayed over night with our family members.
Our kids were so excited and enjoyed.... even some didn't want to get home - over excited. Since i was the organizer, i didn't have enough time to snap photos and some of us were to busy to look after our kids.. Photos available here were taken with handphones, i apologize for the low quality of the photos.
Anyway, here we were...
<--- Arrival of the VIPs. No red carpet prepared, but park their cars on the side.
We were really enjoy despite have to look after our kids (i don't have any, YET). This camping was a success and we plan to organize another trip to Jeram Toi or Lata Kinjang this December.
1st camping at Sg Sendat
20-May-06:
My wife & i decided to have a fresh air out off the busy city life. Without knowing where to heading to.. we just 'danced with the rhythm' along the busy old road en route to Genting Highland via Sg Batu Dam. Until we reached a T junction to Ulu Yam and Sg Sendat..
Then we wondered. What's the heck is Sg Sendat??? Without any hesitation, we moved forward and forward and forward till there's no more tarmac.. a muddy ballasted route awaiting us ahead. Waited for a while, a BMW 7 series crawling from no where off the muddy ballasted road.
If the BMW was able to play around, why didn't us? We proceed further...... guess what did we discover?
A wonderful waterfall & cozy stream... named Sg Sendat.
We creep a bit further.. found a group of 4x4, just arrived. Suddenly i loss my mind and behavior... i walked to them and asked if we could join them.
Surprisingly, they welcomed us warmly.
The episode of off road and camping phenomenal started growing in our heart.
<--- They just arrived as we so.
--->
Unloading.
<--- Relaxing. Unloading & camping site, done.
--->
My wife was helping
in preparing the fire camp
<--- Mr. I forgot his name, The Organizer.
--->
Preparing for dinner.
<--- Sardine for breakfast.
--->
The water was soo
freezing.
--->
Mr David, communications
director of the event
<--- It was damn deep enough. I was trying to get off it.
<--- Next day, packing up after a nite staying.
Leaving the camp site.
Note: My apology, not many photos available.
I just use my handphone with limited storage.
